Want to Bring Nature back Home?

Go Native!

Native Plant Landscaping & Wildlife

Native plant landscaping uses plants indigenous to your region. These plants are perfectly adapted to the local climate and soil, providing the best food and shelter for wildlife. This creates a balanced, thriving backyard ecosystem that attracts pollinators, birds, and other creatures.

We've partnered with Millefleur Native Plant Landscaping to offer homeowners a FREE consultation to help create quality wildlife habitats in their backyard!

The Microhabitat Program

Be apart of something BIG…

The Microhabitat Program is a community-wide initiative to create more spaces within our urban landscape for wildlife to thrive. We are building a network of homeowners, schools, and businesses dedicated to weaving nature back into our neighborhoods, one patch at a time. By transforming small pockets of our city into vital habitats, we can create connected wildscapes that support pollinators, birds, and other local wildlife.

Getting started is easy! We provide free one-on-one consulting to help you design the perfect native plant garden for your space and goals. We also host hands-on workshops teaching practical skills like installation techniques and how to ethically collect native seeds. When you're ready to build, we’ll connect you with trusted resources to help install your garden.

Microhabitat Participants receives a Microhabitat Sign highlighting the important work they’re doing and what tier their Microhabitat is at!

Our Grantor

A warm thankyou to our grantor, Village & Wilderness. Our work wouldn’t be possible without the Microhabitat Program Incubator. V&W helps support microhabitat programs throughout the country and we are proud to be apart of their microhabitat movement here in Louisiana!
